Best of…

Famous!

Did you have a fantastic Holiday? I was in Canada, and although I missed time with my family, I had a wonderful time with my wanna-be-family (no, nothing round and shiny - just fulfilling the request). It was our first full-family vacation - Me, Jayson, Ruby, and Max!

Since 2010 is a few days away, I figured there are all kinds of ‘best of 2009′ lists out there.  So I’ll just share a few (ok, more than a few) here. You’ll need plenty of spare time, because once you start clicking, you’ll click to something else, and then something else. Celeb lists are always my favorite, so you’ll find plenty of those in my round up, along with a few other things I know you and I both enjoy. Can you believe this year took us from Joaquin Phoenix and this ridiculous interview to Tiger a.k.a. Cheetah (with at least 13 spots and counting)!

And I saved the best for last:

Happy 2010!
LOVE ME,
And since everyone is concerned with what to call this upcoming decade (the teens? the tens?), I read the word ‘Tenennium’ somewhere. I don’t know. I keep saying, “0′ ten” even though that’s not correct. I might stick with it. “0′ 11, 0′12, 0′13. It works…

The Red Book, and stuff

Famous!
Sorry for the delay in writing, I’M ON VACATION! And loving every minute of it. Except the 20 minutes I tried jogging outside  at 11:00am. It’s way too hot and humid at that time, and I refuse to get up before 9am on my vacation to jog while it’s barely 90.  I’m a temperature snob now. In GF, I only wish for 80 or 90 about 6 months out of the year! And, I guess I’m really on vacation all summer since I have the summers off. But this is a destination vacation.

I also want to start watching Whatever, Martha! How did you find it? What time is it on? I think that show is a fantastic idea. Not sure if anyone would watch it, but I would like to watch Jayson and I watching something like American Idol or Grey’s Anatomy together. He’s always got something to say.

So far I’ve driven 27 1/2 hours. By the end of this trip, I will have logged about 30 more. I’ll get to rest in GF for about 3 weeks, then we’re taking another rode trip! Speaking of road trips, Jayson got a NEW CAR - A black Pontiac Torrent with all the fix’ens! So the days of driving haven’t been horrible in our new ride!

Otherwise I’ve been sitting poolside mostly. Soaking up the rays. I don’t really tan, at least not that other people notice, but I see the lines!

I honeslty haven’t been doing much except being outside, so I haven’t been reading or browsing much online. Haven’t even really read books or magazines. I did start a book in the car, and I’m only one or two chapters in, but I think I’ll love it.  Jayson gave me The Red Book: A Deliciously Unorthodox Approach To Igniting Your Divine Spark for my birthday.  Sera Beak, a.k.a Spiritual Cowgirl, also posted the entire intro on her blog.

I should have some pictures (of my own) from Padre Island. I head down their on Friday, so I may be out of touch for a while! How’s the new spinning classes? Are you enjoying being the teacher?
LOVE ME,
And my tan that no one will notice is a tan, but it does brings out my freckles. That’s the price I pay for being a kind of red/auburn head I guess,

P.S. Nate left me a message, Jen had the baby - A girl named Clare!

Bitten

My greatest apologies for my blog absence. I didn’t get abducted by aliens (love the tags!). I was bitten. Spam, I have a confession to make. Over the last five days I have read all four “Twilight” books and have watched the movie (twice). Okay, I just lied. I watched the movie three times.

This has always been a problem for me. When I start a book, I can’t put it down until I have turned the last page. I usually make sure I have a good block of time set aside in my day so I can finish the entire book in one sitting. So, at the airport Thursday night, I was pretty excited to hear our plane was delayed for almost two hours. That would allow me enough time to finish the book by the time we reached NYC and not have to worry about it plagueing my mind for the rest of the weekend. Well, you can’t read just the first book. When we got to the city, I picked up the second book and the movie. At the airport, waiting for the flight home, I realized I may be thousands of feet in the air without access to the third one. So, I bought the third one at the airport. Ben brought home the fourth one for me (just to speed along the process of my entry back into reality).  I turned the last page of the last book last night at 8:30.  I watched the movie again (since I had watched it on a computer screen the previous two times) and then fell asleep.  The whole experience of cramming the reading in between meetings, shopping, museums, and work was pretty exhausting. But I did it. I am done. Well…until the next movie comes out.

After I regain my sense of self, I will post about NYC. Right now, I am recooperating.

Still kind of dazed,
Famous
